Founded in 1989 by Romeo P. Virtusio, Virtusio Public Relations, Inc. (vpri) specializes in crisis and marketing communications, public, media, investor and financial relations for domestic and multinational corporations within the Philippines. vpri's subsidiary company, Context Communications International, Inc., deals with special events and editorial services.
Romeo P. Virtusio, vpri's President, has more than 35 years of experience in public relations. He worked for J. Walter Thompson and Lexington International Public Relations, Inc. - former Hill & Knowlton affiliate in the Philippines. In addition to that, he published the first PR journal in the Philippines and is council member for the Philippines of the International Public Relations Association.
vpri has 11 employees. Most of them are graduates of the top three universities within the Philippines. vpri won Anvil Awards for its work on Australian Trade Commission, Unilever and Bayer accounts. In the field of crisis communications vpri designs plans to anticipate and cope with crises and emergency situations. Furthermore, the agency prepares client's responses to media coverage of labor disputes and other crisis events.
